1. What are your strengths? Some of my strengths include attention to detail and organization. This is important to me because I always strive to do the best work and make everything to the best of my ability. Organization is important because when things are in order it allows for better workflow. Organizing is second nature and I feel helps all people involved on the job.
2. Tell me how you handled a difficult situation. A difficult situation I’ve had is dealing with angry customers. At first, you just have to listen and understand where they’re coming from then suggest a way you can make it up to them. Usually they give you a hard time so I maintain my temper and understand the situation. Once it's addressed I figure out a way to make it up to them.
3. Who do you look up to/who is your mentor? My biggest mentor is my father, he has always been the most supportive and hardworking person I know. I look up to him to be as successful and supportive as he is. He is my mentor because I can always always come to him for troubles and always feel relieved when he can help.
4. How do you handle pressure/stress? When I am faced with a stressful situation I take a step back, evaluate if it’s in my control and work on fixing or ignoring the stress. Usually I chill out and take a deep breathe to relax.. If it involves other people, I suggest ways to make the situation better.
5. What makes you uncomfortable? Some things that make me uncomfortable are people not greeting me and giving dirty looks. I think everyone is to be welcomed so they feel comfortable to interact with other people. When I am not welcomed I feel that I don’t belong there and am not wanted. When I feel uncomfortable I usually am silent and keep to myself.
6. How would you like to be challenged by a job? When it comes to being challenged on the job, I like to be faced with lots of tasks that keep me busy. I find that when I have task after task it can become a challenge to finish everything but, it makes you stay on your heels. Challenges when you work help to gain knowledge and more efficient ways to perform tasks. Learning new things can sometimes be challenging too until you get the hang of it,
7. What are your pet peeves? One of my biggest pet peeves is ignoring instructions. Once something is explained once, it shouldn’t have to be repeated multiple times. I find it very annoying when people don’t do it the most efficient way and ask the same instructions. I find listening to be one of the most important things when it comes to work. Collaborating and listening help to better strengthen the company and keep me unannoyed.
8. What kind of work do you enjoy the most? The kind of work I enjoy the most is repetitive work. I also like learning new things to help better the workforce but when I do the same repetitive work it makes the shift go by faster. Another kind of work I enjoy is cleaning and organizing. When your work space looks cleaner you feel better and it’s easier to work.
9. Tell me about an accomplishment you are most proud of. One accomplishment I am most proud of is achieving detailer of the month. This was very important to me because I was in a big group of detailers. This meant that I detailed the most cars at maximum quality. Making sure every customer walked away with a smile was a big accomplishment. Know you were the best at what you did even though it may be the simplest of tasks.
10. Where do you see yourself in five years? In five years, I see myself still in college and working part time. At the pace I’m going I think that I’d have about one year left of college education and working at AutoMark. Hopefully I won’t have to many loans to pay off and will eventually get hired doing what I love. My biggest goal is to achieve an M4 by graduation.
